CASS COUNTY, MN – A 1-year-old girl is dead and a suspect is in custody following a fatal attack near Walker, Minnesota.

The Cass County Sheriff’s office reports that a report came in around 5 p.m. Sunday that a child was hit by a vehicle in a driveway on Breezy Point Circle in Shingobee Township.

The child died on the scene.

According to the authorities, the 28-year-old suspect was returning to the area where he was arrested.

Authorities did not identify the child, any possible link between him and the suspect, or what led to it being hit.

Fees are expected to be charged.
