OSAGE CO., Kan. (WIBW) – A Topeka man is in custody after making plans to meet someone he believes is 15 years old.

The Osage Co. Sheriff’s Office reported in a Facebook post on Thursday, March 18, that the Special Enforcement Unit had arrested a Topeka man who had plans to meet someone he was told about became that he was 15 years old.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, 36-year-old Chad Ropar of Topeka was detained and sent to Osage Col Prison for electronic solicitation and indecent solicitation of a child.

The investigation is still ongoing.
