“The ‘Are you good for your children?’ The campaign provides adults with the tools they need to protect Kentucky’s children from exploitation and abuse, “said Cameron.” Children are deeply affected by the influences of adults in their lives, and it is important that parents and carers consider Who your child is interacting with. We must all work together and be committed to combating child abuse and neglect in the Commonwealth, and we are proud to support Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky in their relentless efforts to keep children safe in Kentucky. “

Child Abuse Prevention Kentucky developed the campaign, which was funded by a grant from the Kentucky Child Victims’ Trust Fund administered by the Child Sexual Abuse Prevention and Exploitation Agency within the Attorney General’s Office.

“Nearly 60 percent of child abuse victims never report exploitation, which makes it the least-reported form of abuse,” said Jill Seyfred, executive director of Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky. “With support from the Child Victims Trust Fund, we developed this campaign to raise awareness of the importance of carefully choosing who to allow to influence your children. The campaign title is “Are They Good for Your Children?” is the first question adults should ask when allowing someone else to care for their children. “
