AMBER Alert in Arizona canceled after twins found safe, suspects in custody

An AMBER alert was canceled for one-year-old twin babies who were in a car when a man reportedly got in on Saturday night and stole the car. You have been found safely and one man is on remand.

A Amber Alert was issued on Saturday night but has since been canceled for two one-year-old babies in a car when a man reportedly got in on Saturday night and stole the car, Phoenix police said.

The children, Joseph and Havana Shackelford, were found safe hours later in Phoenix near 7th Avenue and Buckeye Road.

The twins were reportedly near a pharmacy in 44th Street and McDowell Road around 4:00 p.m.

“You were in a white 2003 Nissan Pathfinder, AZ / 1CA6RB. When Eddie Jones got in the driver’s seat and stole the vehicle.

According to the police, Jones is said to have been under the influence of alcohol. Jones is reportedly the twins’ uncle.

The children were safely found and reunited with their families.

Jones was taken into custody by Phoenix Police. He is accused of DUI, kidnapping and theft.

Jones is held on a $ 20,000 bond.
