4 in custody in reference to violent assault of 21-year-old West Chester lady | Native Information

WEST CHESTER – On Tuesday December 8th, two women with active riot / assault arrest warrants reported to the West Chester Police Department. Two other people charged in the case were arrested earlier last month.

The arrests come after an incident on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 2:02 a.m. A 21-year-old resident was walking home from work when she was attacked on the 50s block on West Gay Street. The victim was led away by her friends and followed by a group of people who were attacked a second time on the 50’s block on East Gay Street, police said.

The victim was injured in the head, body, legs and feet because the attackers used drugs on the street. Those arrested in the case are Jorge Luis Mendez Jr. (also called Jaslyn Mendez), 18, of Coatesville; Cionna Loveland, 18, of Coatesville; Jayda Core, 18, from Coatesville; and Khadigah Martin, 28, from Coatesville.

The three women were arrested for rioting, simple bodily harm, and recklessly harming another person.

At 8:14 p.m. on December 5, 2020, West Chester police watched Scott Watson, 53, of West Chester break into the Gay Street Plaza laundromat at 549 E. Gay Street. Watson was taken into custody, processed and taken to Chester County Jail for indictment.

On October 4, 2020, the West Chester Police Department was ordered to investigate a bank account theft report. As a result of the investigation, Theodore Miller, Jr., 30, of Downingtown, was arrested and charged with theft and related charges.

Coatesville

Drug arrest

At 8:04 a.m. on December 8, 2020, Coatesville police officers observed a suspicious vehicle in a gravel parking lot between the train tracks and the river. The vehicle, a gray Toyota Corolla sedan, left the area and committed two traffic violations. Police conducted a traffic disruption on the 1100 block of Wagontown Road. A consent search was carried out by the vehicle during the traffic obstruction. Heroin was recovered in the vehicle. Jason Burns, a driver and vehicle owner from the 100 block of Wagontown Road in Coatesville, has been taken into custody. He was taken to the train station, processed and charged. He was taken to Chester County Jail on $ 10,000 bail.

Arrest narcotics

At 7:22 p.m. on December 2, officials came across a vehicle with a free trade agreement attached to its registration. The warrant was for Kobe Crawford on the 1217 East Lincoln Highway in Coatesville. A traffic obstruction was implemented in the 200 block of the East Lincoln Highway. Crawford was in the passenger seat and was taken into custody on his arrest warrant. A search for possible causes of the vehicle revealed an unofficial weight of 78 grams of suspected marijuana. A black scale with marijuana residue was also found. Crawford was taken to the train station where he was held until a police officer picked him up.

Kennett Square

Attack of a child

Fabian Mondragon-Gonzalez, 27, of Kennett Square, was charged with indecent assault, serious indecent assault of a child, corruption of minors and related crimes on November 9, 2020 at 11:56 am. These charges are the result of an investigation that Mondragon was involved in – Gonzalez has improper contact with an underage child. Charges have been brought and an arrest warrant has been issued for Fabian Mondragon-Gonzalez.

Parkesburg

Domestic quarrel

Police were called in a physical domestic dispute involving John M. Primus on charges of simple assault and related crimes. Primus was taken to Chester County Jail after failing to leave bail. A preliminary hearing at the Parkesburg District Court is planned.
