The undisputed maiden super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez is the pivot of modern-day boxing. The Mexican is only 31 years of age and had garnered all those accolades that mark him among the greatest boxers of all time.

Recently, a YouTube channel ‘Little Giant Boxing’ filmed the practice session of the pound-for-pound king in his training camp ahead of his much-awaited clash in the light heavyweight division.

In this video, Canelo Alvarez displays beautiful head movement and defense while smashing and exploding on the heavy bag leading up to his fight against Dmitry Bivol on May 7 on DAZN PPV.

While checking his head movement on the pendulum bag, the champion indulged in an interaction with the reporter. In a hilarious tone, the Mexican superstar commented, “This is my son. On a trip, I went to Oaxaca, Mexico. child support, that’s the only thing I forgot right, dude.”

For the uninitiated, it appeared that Canelo was acquainted with the reporter. He called him by his name, Constantino. However, the reporter reminded him of ‘Child support’.

He said, “You owe me child support.”

What’s next for Canelo Alvarez?

The Mexican classical power puncher is hell-bent on garnering more accolades in the light heavyweight division. Prior to confirmation of Russian pugilist Dmitry Bivol, the man has thrashed the entire super middleweight division.

Since then, there were several stalwarts who were in news for a probable fight with the champion. However, Canelo remained adamant about his stand and did what he had decided.

As of now, after his May 7 clash, his most probable opponent is IBF and IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin. Though they had rumbled twice in 2017 and 2018, the rivalry between the duo greats is still the most hyped one.

The Kazak legend is eager to settle the old grudge by finalizing all bitterness in the third battle. However, the pound-for-pound is also of the same opinion.
