Tom Cotton introduces invoice to extend little one assist funds

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) introduced the Child Support Works Act, a bill designed to increase child support payments to caring parents and children.

The Child Support Works Act would allow state childcare agencies to reimburse the implementation of mandatory work programs for non-caring parents. These programs have been shown to be effective in helping non-caring parents develop positive work ethics and meet the requirements of their maintenance orders, according to the press release.

“Fathers are obliged to look after their children. Child maintenance chores can help parents meet this obligation by getting them to work. This bill would provide additional resources to government childcare agencies so that they can help parents get back on their feet and take care of their families, ”he said cotton.
