Three lacking kids discovered protected; suspects in custody

EUGENE, Ore. – Three missing children have been found and a second suspect is currently in custody, according to Eugene police.

Whitley McGrady, 29, was arrested Tuesday in Sacramento, California. She was booked in Sacramento County Jail on a fugitive from another state charge and could be extradited to Oregon. McGrady’s first appearance in court will be in Sacramento this Thursday.

Police said 1-year-old Kyden Cantu, 6-year-old Trulee Cantu and 10-year-old Robert Mena III were all safe.

Previously, 32-year-old suspect Jeremy Cantu was arrested at Motel 6 on International Way in Springfield, but the children were still missing at the time.

Cantu is the unsupervised father of the children who have been missing since April 22nd. He is charged with second degree custody disorders.
