According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office website, 32-year-old Nikki Reardon of Baytown was posted to Harris County Jail on Monday for tampering with a human corpse, endangering children, prostitution and aggravated robbery with a lethal weapon. KTRK-TV reported that it continues to hold a $ 35,000 bond.

The arrest came more than six months after Reardon’s little daughter Zaydea Danyelea Rainer was found dead at the Scottish Inn and Suites in late September, according to KHOU-TV.

On September 29, Baytown police responded to a report of a body found at the hotel, KHOU reported. After an argument with the armed Reardon, the authorities discovered a pink travel bag with the dead baby in it, according to the news agency. Police said they also found marijuana and methamphetamine at the scene.

Reardon, who told police she woke up on Sept. 27 to find the child was unresponsive, was tried last month for aggravated robbery but failed to show up, police said.

Officials have not yet revealed how the baby died, KTRK reported.
