Teen Mother Amber Portwood’s ex Andrew Glennon hires high-powered lawyer in nasty custody battle

TEEN Mom OG star Amber Portwood’s ex Andrew Glennon hired a senior lawyer in their nasty custody war after his former attorney quit.

Amber (31) and her ex-boyfriend Andrew (37) have been fighting over custody of their son James (3rd) since their separation in 2019.

The Sun can exclusively reveal that Jessie Darlene Cobb-Dennard appeared as Andrew’s chief attorney earlier this month.

It came after The Sun reported that Andrew’s senior attorney on the case filed a motion to withdraw from the record attorney appearing on Andrew’s behalf, meaning that she no longer wishes to represent her client.

The defense attorney’s résumé is impressive, as she specializes in family law, mediation in domestic relationships, criminal law and general civil procedure code.

A biography on the law firm’s website states: “Jessie Cobb-Dennard graduated from Indiana University with a BA in Political Science. She received her doctorate in law from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, Indiana.

“She stayed in Indianapolis after completing her education. Jessie is also Guardian ad Litem for the Hamilton County GAL / CASA Program and Kid’s Voice of Indiana, and is a registered domestic relations mediator.”

PREPARING FOR THE TRIAL VERSION

The law change comes as the stars prepare for an evil trial.

Andrew obtained primary custody of their toddler after Amber was arrested for domestic violence against him in July 2019.

The exes share joint custody, which gives the teen mom OG star three unattended visits a week with James.

The MTV star petitioned to change parental leave and requested an overnight visit with James.

When asked by Amber, she claimed that there had been a “change in circumstances” that “justified” an adjustment to her custody agreement.

She claimed that according to the Indiana Parenting Time Guidelines, parental leave is extended to include overnight stays when the child turns 3.

Amber claimed it was in James’ “best interests” that “the current parental leave should be changed to include overnight parental leave”.

A judge ruled on Amber’s request in February by ordering the two to resolve their parenting problems out of court and through mediation within 60 days of the order.

In court records obtained solely from The Sun, the May 24 mediation was “unsuccessful”.

Amber has the option to file for a custody trial.

A source previously revealed to The Sun: “The last mediation they had did not go well for Amber.

“They tried to reach an agreement in mediation, but they just couldn’t reach an agreement. Now a lawsuit is likely to be started.”

The insider added, “Amber is doing really well, it’s hard because she isn’t even allowed overnight visits.”

AMBERS WIN

Although Amber ran out of time with her son, she had a victory in her court war.

Amber previously alleged in court records that Andrew broke her custody agreement by refusing to see her son during Christmas week.

The Teen Mom OG star also claimed Andrew failed to fill out the required admission documents and pay the fee for the Parenting Time Coordinator.

She requested that Andrew be “detained in disregard of the court,” which could result in a prison term or a fine for failing to comply with the court order.

The Sun previously reported that an Indiana judge sided with Amber as Andrew was found for disobeying the court.

He was sentenced to pay a $ 250 fine for each and pay $ 500 in Amber’s legal fees within 30 days of the court order.

Andrew took to Instagram to share a cryptic post about “gaslighting” amid their court war.

The father shared a video that explained, “Gaslighting is when someone convinces you that what you see, you don’t see what you hear, don’t hear, what you feel, don’t feel.

“It is supposed to convince you that your reality is completely wrong. Gaslighting is a serious abuse tactic. “

Amber is also the mother of daughter Leah, 12, with ex-fiancé Gary Shirley.

On the final season of the MTV show, Leah told her mother she didn’t want to work on their relationship because she was inconsistent in her life.

But in May, Amber announced that she was preparing to see her daughter and son.

Amber is currently also out with Gary as she accuses him and his wife Kristina of not pushing Leah to make it up to her.
