Suspect taken into custody after threatening sufferer whereas holding youngster

A man was arrested for grievous bodily harm with a lethal weapon after allegedly threatening a woman with a firearm on Sunday. A press release from the Denison Police Department said the officers were called to the 100 block on Doolittle Drive at around 9.48pm on Sunday due to a disturbance.

The first report said that a man and a woman yelled at each other and the man threatened the woman with a firearm.

The release said when officials arrived on site, the victim met the officials outside, but the suspect closed the door to the residence. During the conversation with the victim, police learned that the suspect had threatened the victim while he was holding his child.

“After a few minutes, the suspect left the apartment and was taken into custody without incident,” the release said. “(The suspect) was arrested for grievous bodily harm with a lethal weapon. No shots were fired and no one was injured.”
