Stimulus test replace: 2.3M Individuals assist month-to-month $2,000 checks

There were three rounds of coronavirus stimulus checks. Nearly 2.3 million Americans have signed an online petition asking for more.

A petition on change.org posted by a Denver restaurant owner calls for monthly checks of $ 2,000 for adults and $ 1,000 for children until the current economic downturn caused by the coronavirus pandemic ends.

“Our country is still deeply struggling,” wrote restaurant owner Stephanie Bonin. “The recovery hasn’t reached many Americans … and many people have faced heavy debt from last year for things like utilities, rent, and childcare.”

The Democrats in Congress approved $ 1,400 checks to most Americans in March for unanimous Republican opposition under President Joe Biden’s $ 1.9 trillion coronavirus stimulus bill.

While Biden has called for an additional $ 4 trillion to be spent on infrastructure, education and childcare, he has not proposed another round of economic reviews. Laws introduced by some Democrats in the House, including MP Bonnie Watson Coleman, D-12th Dist., Would provide for $ 2,000 monthly stimulus checks, but that bill has had no effect on Capitol Hill.

And on March, 21 Senate Democrats, including Cory Booker, called for monthly audits until the economy recovered.

Congress extended the expanded $ 300 per week unemployment benefit through September. In addition, most families with children will receive monthly payments of up to $ 300 from an extended child tax break starting next month.
