Pulaski County Prosecutor’s Workplace Receives Honor Roll Award for Youngster Assist – WKVI Data Middle

Pulaski County District Attorney Kelly Gaumer and Child Support Administrator Sherrel Hudson

The Pulaski County Attorney’s Office recently received the “It’s Not Easy To Be Green” award for meeting or exceeding federal and state average performance metrics for family child benefit collection in the 2020 federal fiscal year. This is the third consecutive award for the Pulaski County Prosecutor’s Office.

Pulaski County Attorney Kelly Gaumer said her office received the highest possible rating in four categories the state uses to assess child support collection. These categories include the establishment of maintenance orders, the enforcement of ongoing maintenance orders, the recovery of child benefit and the determination of paternity.

Gaumer noted that the COVID-19 pandemic presented many challenges that resulted in fewer collections than in previous years, but collections still amounted to over $ 500,000 in child support for local families.
