DOBBS FERRY, NY (CBSNewYork) – A police officer was stabbed in the face in an accident in Dobbs Ferry on Thursday.

It happened on Beacon Hill Drive around 1:30 p.m.

The officer was taken to the hospital in a serious but stable condition.

It wasn’t immediately clear what led to the knife stab.

One person was arrested, but the Dobbs Ferry Police and Westchester County Police stayed on site to investigate.
