NYPD golf outing to help youngsters in want, honor native youngster with cerebral palsy

STATE ISLAND, NY – Officials for the 121st District of the NYPD will be raising their Friday afternoons at La Tourette Golf Course for charity.

Cops Care for Kids, a local organization, is hosting the charity event with the district to raise money for children with illnesses and disabilities.

The winner of the event on Friday is 12-year-old Chloe Daly, a Staten Islander who fights against cerebral palsy and other diseases.

Daly has had a tumultuous journey over the past year, undergoing three major surgeries in 2020 and 2021.

In addition to drive-bys and visits through the Daly family’s glass windows, the excursion will be another opportunity to keep the young girl happy.

Will Daly, Chloe’s father, is in touch with the 121st District through a staff link and is honored that they have chosen his daughter to benefit from the night.

“We were fortunate to have people helping us on this journey and it’s just amazing what people have done,” he told Advance / SILive.com. “I’m just very grateful.”

In December, the Daly family was visited by Cops Care for Kids officers who brought toys while on vacation.

Daly said it was great to be with Lt. Naveed Chaudry, the founder of the organization.

“Chaudry has one of the biggest hearts I’ve ever seen,” explained the father. “The guy is just amazing. His foundation should get a lot of recognition and attention. His only concern is to help children. It is God’s work and he does it. “

At the event, his daughter will receive a plaque and toys, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the family.

Cops Care for Kids and the 121 Precinct team up for a charity golf outing on Friday.

The event begins with registration on Friday at 12 noon, with lunch, golf and dinner into the evening.

Registration for the event is required. Tickets are $ 150 per golfer, including lunch, snacks, dinner, and drinks.

Non-golfers can sign up for dinner and drinks only at a discounted rate of $ 50.

Raffles will also be offered throughout the event, including signed baseballs by New York Mets players Peter Alonso and John Franco.
