Man taken into police custody, accused of killing daughter’s boyfriend; Michigan Legislature, Gov. Whitmer agree on finances, billions in federal help packages passes

DETROIT – A man is detained in Macomb County Jail after police claim he shot another man and tried to save him.

The victim was the friend of the alleged perpetrator’s daughter.

Local legal analyst Neil Rockind broke up the tragic shooting that occurred early Wednesday morning in Harrison Township.

According to the authorities, a 66-year-old man shot Jomarr Pye at close range with a pistol at around 1 a.m.
