Households, organizations give again to assist foster youngsters

“You know, a lot of the time you have a kid like, ‘Wow, that’s mine?'” Said Executive Director Marcia Lambert. “You really never got the chance to have a brand new toothbrush or a brand new soft toy or a brand new pajama set. Again, these are things we take for granted and when children go through this transition and most likely one of the scariest days of their lives, this is how we can wrap them around them in tangible objects, and this is especially true for older children that wrap themselves around them and say, “Hey, you are loved, heard, seen and appreciated.” And as a community, we can share this message with them. So it’s about transforming that tangible object into something much more. “
