Grant Introduced to Assist Blind, Visually Impaired NKY College students

Visually Impaired Preschool Services (VIPS) announced a $ 5,000 grant from the Elsa Heisel Sule Foundation for the Early Childhood Intervention Program.

“This funding is having a life changing impact on children in northern Kentucky. Learning that their child has been diagnosed with severe visual impairment is very daunting and challenging for new parents, ”said Kelly Easton, regional director, Visually Impaired Preschool Services. “VIPS provides the support families desperately need as they learn to be the best teacher and strongest advocate for their child. Our home early intervention provides children with the solid foundation they need to achieve their goals. “

“The Elsa Sule Foundation is delighted to support visually impaired preschool services for another year,” says Jordan Klette-Cusher, Program Office of the Elsa Heisel Sule Foundation. “We know how crucial the first years of a child’s life are for their development. The VIPS early intervention program ensures that children with visual impairments are successful. This program is critical to the children’s lifelong success. I know that Elsa would be proud to support such a committed and innovative organization. “
