FAITH: Abandonment kills the kid – Orange Chief

Pastor Demetrius Moffett

There are so many political discussions about pro-life or pro-choice and women’s rights when it comes to an unborn child. Even more important, however, is the choice of termination that the man makes after the child is born.

Let’s think about it.

Like many of our sons and daughters, they were aborted by their fathers after they were born. Abortion is about a decision for or against life. Too many of our children are killed because our husbands choose to kill the life of the child they fathered by aborting them by abandoning them.

Renunciation is abortion.

When a father abandons his children, he kills the dreams, goals, and life of the child. I believe this is worse than aborting an unborn child.

The mother makes the decision to bring life through a child only for the father to kill life by aborting the child. Do we want to address this issue?

A man can help create a child, but a man cultivates a child. The blessing is that, unlike the abortion of an unborn child, the born child has a chance to live before the destruction of his life, that there are men who have a desire to rise, nurse them back to health through covering, cultivating and partying the child’s life.

We really need more dad role models.

We lose our sons to the courage and glamor of unhealthy role models.

Fathers, do you look after or care for your children? Do you admire them or do you abort them? It is not enough to just send child benefit, although that is a start. It doesn’t end there, it starts there.

Children not only need our treasure, they need our temple, our talents, and our time. Nothing will change about that until the pain these young fathers had to put aside because they were broken off themselves.

Men, it is time we tried to reconcile father and son relationships. We have to give more than money; we must give positive messages of worship, management, and application of love, forgiveness, and vision.

I am very much in favor of life choices, or let me put it this way, I am very much in favor of a productive choice for a productive life.

The choice is yours, what is yours?
