Choose Slams Lamar Odom For Failure To Pay Youngster Help After Incomes $40okay In Boxing Match

After ex-Los Angeles Lakers player Lamar Odom earned $40,000 for a one-night boxing match, he reportedly failed to use any of the funds to pay back child support owed to his children’s mother.

Odom fought in a celebrity boxing match where he received $40,000. According to Page Six, when the Manhattan judge presiding over this matter caught wind of this, he berated the former NBA player for failing to use the money to pay towards past due child support.

Odom is currently being sued by his former girlfriend, Liza Morales, who reportedly stated that Odom failed to pay a 2015 settlement arrangement that they both agreed to, for their two children, since June 2020.

Attorney Abraham Borenstein, who is representing Morales, told the judge that Odom failed to pay the agreed child support, and he owes her over $91,000 through July.

“If Mr. Odom is in good enough shape to participate in a boxing match, he’s certainly in good enough shape to abide by his obligations to support his children as set forth in the settlement agreement,” Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Matthew Cooper stated on Tuesday during a video hearing.

Morales’ attorney reportedly stated that Odom has fallen behind on $83,000 in rent payments for an apartment in Lower Manhattan where Morales lives with their two children. Borenstein also included that the landlord has started an eviction proceeding against her.

Odom failed to appear at the video court hearing. With that said, the judge has granted a default judgment against Odom for all the funds that Morales says she’s owed, and he included the fees for her attorney.

“If Mr. Odom received money from his celebrity match, I’m sure you’d want to get a judgment so you can take action as soon as possible,” Cooper reportedly said to Morales. He suggested that Borenstein file a judgment for him to sign as soon as possible.

Odom shared a response about owing back child support on Instagram in a lengthy caption where he states: “Enough is enough, I do not get pension from the NBA until I’m 46. I do not own a CBD line, I did not get paid $40k from Celebrity Boxing. Am I building a solid brand? YES. Do I send my kids money monthly? Hell yes!”

“Do I support Liza? No !!! And I shouldn’t be made to either! So I will have my day in court, I was never served papers to appear and I will be filing an injunction to this bitter Judges order.”

“To the Liza’s who sit on their a–es and expect a handout, who lie and manipulate their children, who use their children as pawns, who creates stories and scenarios to attract attention, may you seek healing and counseling for your brokenness ~ you need it.”
