Assist for these parenting by the pandemic

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) – Pandemic parenting, many have been doing so for over a year. But that doesn’t mean you have to find out everything.

“Every time we get into our groove and think we’ve found our booth, something happens that upsets or changes it, which really gets to the point,” said Liz Vetrano, director of development and marketing at EPIC ( Every Person Influences Children).

If you navigate the shift back into the classroom, we can already see that summer is just around the corner, which can bring a number of new challenges.

“My child is suddenly very clingy, has tantrums before bed, or spends way too much time on the computer. I’m worried about what they’re doing online,” Vetrano said.

EPIC offers individual and group support for parents during the pandemic

EPIC is here to help you navigate these issues. During the pandemic, they have offered one-on-one help sessions, hosted virtual events, held parenting classes, and posted videos to help parents make it through.

Now they are asking their parents for help.

“We want to know what parents need right now that they cannot find and how we can help,” said Vetrano.

In order to continue to support families, they would like you to share your experiences in a focus group.

“To find out what you’re struggling with right now, something that was easy can be difficult now and something that was a fight in September is off the radar now,” Vetrano said.

Focus groups are divided according to the age of your child:

  • Birth up to 4 years
    • Thursday 6 May at 6.30 p.m.
    • Wednesday, May 26th at 11 a.m.
  • Kindergarten to 5th grade:
    • Tuesday, May 11th at 6.30 p.m.
    • Saturday, May 22nd at 10 a.m.

And when you show up, you will be rewarded for it. Parents can receive a $ 30 Amazon Gift Card just by joining a group.

And from International Family Day on May 15, there will be more fun to look forward to all summer.

“This is how parents can bring their kids downstairs, do a lot of fun literacy activities, exercise, stalk, music eating, and just a lot of fun things for families to do this summer,” Vetrano said.
