ANSONIA — Police say they are trying to locate a 1-year-old infant from Ansonia after her mother didn’t return her after a custody visit on Tuesday.

Ansonia police said the child, Royalty Bass, was last seen wearing a pink Minnie Mouse shirt and gray Minnie Mouse pants. She is about 2 feet tall, 20 to 30 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes, according to police.

“Her mother, Shameka Henri, failed to return Royalty to her father after her custody visit,” Ansonia police said Tuesday evening.

Police said the mother and daughter could be in the Stratford area, but they said Henri may have left the state with the child.

Lt. Patrick Lynch said that Bass remained missing Wednesday morning.
