Darrell Harbor, the Milwaukee man who set off an Amber Alert in early April, was arrested and charged according to court documents.

Harbor, 36, was charged on three counts following the April 4 incident in which he shot his children’s mother and fled the scene with his two young daughters.

Both children are charged with frivolous endangerment of the first degree (use of a dangerous weapon, domestic violence) and two cases of frivolous endangerment of the first degree (use of dangerous weapon) in two cases.

According to a criminal complaint, Harbor was in the car with his children’s mother when they argued over infidelity. Harbor is said to have hit the victim while sitting with one of her children. Harbor reached for his gun and the two “shunted” the gun when Harbor held the other child, the complaint said.

The 20-year-old woman was shot in the arm and ordered from Harbor to drive her to the hospital.

In an interview with police, the victim said that Harbor dropped her off across from the hospital. When she crossed the street and left a trail of blood, he fled with the two children Winter (2) and Safari (1).

Around 5 p.m. that day, an amber alarm was given. The children were found safely with relatives around 10 p.m. after they realized they had been warned about their safety and contacted the police.

Relatives told police that Harbor dropped them off at the house and said he “acted normally”. [sic] and they thought there was nothing wrong with him. “

Police located Harbour’s vehicle and found a bullet hole in the inside of the car door and blood stains on the passenger seat.

Court documents show that Harbor was arrested on May 17th, but police have not provided any information regarding his arrest.

He made his preliminary hearing on May 27th on a $ 50,000 cash loan. He has to appear in court again on June 15th.
