I want my family to cut ties with my ex. Am i being unreasonable

I was married for 13 years before I finally cut ties with my ex and we divorced. My ex-husband and I are great to be parents. We’re not friends, but we can get along enough to try to do what is best for our five children. I have full custody and he has a visitor. We both attend school conferences and events and make “big decisions” together about the children.

When I got divorced, I was willing to give up many things. I knew I was going to have financial problems and was ready to give up my cell phone, cable TV, eat out, and even give up the possibility of moving to a smaller house or apartment. I wasn’t ready to give up my family and that really surprised me.

8. 16 signs you are married to a narcissist

16 signs you're married to a narcissist Divorce magazine“As a psychologist and marriage and family therapist, I have worked with many diagnosed and undiagnosed people who have significant narcissistic traits. Narcissism falls under the personality disorder category. The clinical name for people with pronounced symptoms of grandiosity is Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). Personality disorders are conditions in which people have traits that cause them to feel and act socially distressing, which limit their ability to function in relationships and other areas of their life. People with NPD can present themselves as arrogant, conceited, self-reliant, grandiose, boastful, etc. People with narcissistic traits enjoy and enjoy being the center of attention, frequently dominating conversations, or directing conversations back to the issues that are being “perceived”. more important “for the narcissist. 7. What to do if your spouse refuses to sign divorce papers

What to do if your spouse refuses to sign divorce papers

“Divorce is never an easy process. However, it can go relatively smoothly as long as your spouse cooperates.

If you and your spouse can agree on the divorce and quickly come to an agreement on the various topics such as division of property, spousal support and custody, you may be able to get a divorce as easily as possible.

You both sign the papers, have the court finalize your agreement, and move on. But what if your spouse refuses to sign divorce papers? “

8 things to do right away if your husband leaves you“If you are going to get a divorce, please remember: Hope for the best, but be prepared for the worst. I wish you the best.

I check my article analysis a lot and I am overwhelmed by how many women end up here by typing, “What to do if your man leaves you?” Literally hundreds a day. You land here for the first article I wrote for DivorcedMoms about “What To Do If Your Husband Leaves You?” Have written.

I wrote that one kind of tongue on my cheek, it has some very real advice, but as I read through it now, I realize that if you find yourself in this zombie-like state right after being abandoned, you may not want to read about it Like how fun it is to have sex as a single woman or how real the divorce diet is.

They want advice, serious advice, advice to hold on to, and if you want, wear it like a Superman cloak to give you strength. You want to know that you aren’t the only one who made yourself feel this way, not the only one with so many different feelings and thoughts blasting through your brain that you are half convinced that one is shooting out of your skull and accidentally boiling someone else.”

False allegations in custody cases: questions, observations and comments“Have you ever been sexually assaulted, have you been part of a really violent household, have you been part of a substance abuse family, or have parents been jailed for a crime? When you deal with a parent who has a drug or alcohol problem, a violent or criminal history, you will understand the toll the children concerned have to pay and that supervised or terminated parental leave may be required.

3. 315 Tips on Dealing with a Toxic Ex-Spouse with Child Involvement

15 tips for dealing with a toxic ex-spouse with child involvement“I’ve written in the past about divorce being more than one aspect. First is the legal divorce where the judge ends the marriage and a document known as a divorce decree or similar paper is filed with the court that will legally end your marriage. Equally important, and paramount in some divorces, is psychological divorce. Psychological divorce is the ability of one or both spouses to move on to the next chapter in their life.

With particularly bad divorces, one or the other may be unable to move on due to anger, bitterness, and emotional or psychological problems, to name a few examples. The more toxic an ex-spouse, the more problems will arise, especially when there are underage children. “

2. The breaking point: Why do women initiate divorce more than men?

The breaking point: why do women initiate divorce more than men?“In my experience as a coach for women’s advancement, I help women cope with the emotional turmoil of divorce. This would make me a pretty “divorcee”. I divorced once. When a woman comes to see me, they usually have already divorced. But sometimes I wonder if that divorce was necessary or if it was just easier?

Last week I met a woman while doing fieldwork … (OK, it was my make-up lady at Ulta). She immediately described her marital problems to me when I told her about my calling. When she told her husband she was going to get a divorce, he suddenly started doing all the things she wanted him to do. But in her words: “It was too little too late.” I then asked her a question to get her to think about it: “What would happen if instead of being late, you went all-in? One last effort, maybe, but without any conditions or expectations – just pure love for your husband and child. “There were no words… she was silent and even seemed a little annoyed. “

1. 5 rules for introducing a new partner to your children after divorce

5 Rules for Introducing a New Partner for Your Children After Divorce“One of the most common questions divorced parents ask me is: When should I introduce my children to a new partner? My best answer is to take time out on a date after the divorce and not introduce your new love to your children if you are casually dating.

While it is normal to seek comfort, companionship, and a sexual relationship after a breakup, it is important to be slow so you can judge whether that relationship is accidental or permanent. “
