Ecuadoran Fugitive In Hackensack Little one Intercourse Case Returned After Being Taken Into Custody
A fugitive Ecuadorian national from Hackensack who was arrested on Long Island was brought back to New Jersey this week on charges of rape of a teenager.
ICE has arrested Jorge Luis Mora, 37, who was arrested by a local judge in Hackensack in the Bergen District prison after being extradited from New York on Friday.
Mora became a refugee after Bergen District Attorney detectives earlier this year accused him of sexually assaulting the victim in Hackensack in 2013.
He already had a criminal record with arrests in 2017 for harassment and violating a court protection order and in 2011 for simple assault, records show.
Detectives from Bergen Prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit, Mark Musella, tracked Mora to a location in Suffolk County where the prosecutor said local sheriff officials captured him on Feb.11
A judge later ordered Mora to return to New Jersey after an extradition hearing.
