LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) – A mother arrested after police found her children alone in an Ohio motel caused some criticism, but also a lot of support on social media.

When you talk to Shaina Bell about her three children Faith, Jai’Sean, and Jade, ages 9, 7, and 3, her face just lights up.

“My children bring me joy. You make me laugh. You are my world. I would never do anything to harm my children. My children are everything to me, ”she said. “All I do is go to work and take care of my children. That’s all I do. “

A week ago, Bell was arrested while working in Little Caesars. She is accused of leaving her daughters alone in a Motel 6 room where she lived.

“I had to go to work. My daughter decided that she wanted to stay here. My daughter told me she wanted to be here and I felt like she was old enough to stay with her sister for a couple of hours because my job is right down the street, ”said Bell.

But Bell landed two child endangerment offenses and spent the night in jail after her children’s father called the police.

Although she says it’s embarrassing, Bell isn’t mad at anyone.

“I didn’t blame anyone for anything because at the end of the day nobody but me left my children in the hotel,” she said. “I’ve cried a few times since this situation started. I’m just trying to keep my head balanced and stay strong because that’s all I can do. “

Her story received a lot of attention across the country, both from the haters and from those who support the working mother of three.

“A lot of people say hurtful things, but a lot of people are there for me and show great support. I currently have over $ 100,000 in a GoFundMe account. I didn’t ask for it, but people gave it to me and I’m just too grateful for what’s going on, ”said Bell.

Bell says she will use that money to buy a house for her children and everything they need.
