BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – Christopher Derec Hansbrough is back in custody five months after being convicted of wrongful imprisonment by force. This time he is accused of engaging in sexual acts with minors and of possessing child pornography.

Hansbrough, 32, was arrested Friday on suspicion of seven crimes and one misdemeanor, according to online records. He is being held on bail of $ 175,000 and is due to be formally charged on Tuesday.

The details of the new allegations against Hansbrough have not yet been released.

Hansbrough did not plead in July for fraudulent incarceration charges related to the detention of a woman against her will after she left Valley Plaza. Assault charges for rape and another charge of forced sex were dismissed under the appeal agreement and sentenced to imprisonment.

The Valley Plaza incident happened in 2013 when a 19-year-old woman walking home from the mall was hit by a vehicle that pulled up behind her, police said. A man got out of the passenger side and dragged the woman into the vehicle, where he sexually assaulted her.

He then threw her out of the vehicle and the woman went to a hospital where she underwent a sexual assault test.

Testing a rape kit last year showed a DNA match for Hansbrough in CODIS, the database for offenders, police said. The department said the evidence in the kit, drawn from the investigation six years earlier, was part of a backlog of untested rape kits and should have been tested much earlier.

The other person in the vehicle has not been identified.
