SAMPSON COUNTY, NC (FOX Carolina) – An AMBER warning for a missing 10-year-old girl in North Carolina has been canceled, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The Sampson County Sheriff’s Office reports that a citizen identified the vehicle believed to be hauling Breanne Marie Jones along Harper Street in Clinton, North Carolina.

Suspects Johnathan Jones and Christina Edge and Breanne Jones fled the vehicle into a wooded area, according to a release from the sheriff’s office. MPs, the police and the FBI were able to track down Breanne, who was unharmed, and track down the suspects at the same time.

According to MPs, Breanne has been released into the custody of the Department of Social Services.

According to the sheriff’s office, Johnathan Jones has been charged with property violation and child abuse, while Christina Edge has been charged with parole violation.

MPs say the investigation is still ongoing and there may be more charges. According to the release, kidnapping allegations were not immediately brought forward because DSS had not made an unsecured custody decision on Breanne Jones.

The warning was originally issued by the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the sheriff’s office, Breanne Marie Jones was last seen wearing a gray and pink Adidas hoodie, red leggings, white Adidas tennis shoes in white with pink stripes and glasses.

MPs said Breanne Marie Jones was allegedly kidnapped by Jonathan Lewis Jones and Christina Renee Edge in a red Chevrolet Impala with a spare tire on the passenger side.
