ATV, Dust Bikers In Custody After Causeway Closed: Report
MIAMI BEACH, FL – Miami Beach Police temporarily closed the MacArthur Causeway in both directions on Saturday night while searching for a potentially armed person, resulting in the arrest of four people and the seizure of six dirt bikes and ATVs, the WPLG reported .
When police tried to stop a group of ATV and dirt bike riders, two abandoned their vehicles and fled, reports say. Police believed one of the men might be armed and closed the dam around 7:30 p.m. when they were looking for the suspect.
Four of the drivers were reportedly detained and all six vehicles were confiscated. The dam was reopened around 9:20 p.m.
